At The Stoke Poges School we care deeply about environmental issues and have a strong desire to actively protect our planet. Last year we achieved the prestigious ‘Eco-Schools Green Flag,’ after working through the seven Eco-Schools steps. This programme provides a simple, seven-step framework that empowers young people to make a difference in their school, local community and beyond.

The Eco Ambassadors produce posters and signs to remind children about healthy eating and saving energy. Together with ‘Junior Road Safety Officers’, they help to organise various events throughout the year including; ‘Be Bright Be Seen,’ ‘Walk to School Week’ and ‘Road Safety Week.’

This year, after carrying out an environmental review of our school, the Eco Ambassadors will set new targets and create an action plan for the year ahead. The team will meet regularly to plan and deliver environmental projects to inspire their peers and the wider community.
